- After a notice of hearing is issued by the Secretary to the TDP and a hearing is listed for the Trade Dispute Panel, a sitting is convened to hear the dispute between the parties (arbitration).

- The Trade Dispute Panel may still convene a hearing into a trade dispute case with a minimum quorum of two panel members including the Chairman (or the Chairman’s Deputy). This is as long as the parties to the dispute give their consent for a hearing to be conducted in the absence of a member in accordance with section 4(2)(b) of the Trade Dispute Act 1981 (Cap 75).
