- Draft award sent to Minister for varying
- The Trade Dispute Panel has a period of 21 days from the day a hearing into a trade dispute case begins, to come up with a draft award to present to the Minister of Commerce for varying purposes.
- Minister’s power to vary awards (Section 8 of Trade Disputes Act)
- On receiving a draft award, the Minister will have 7 days to vary that award and state the reasons for such variance. If no variance is made after 7 days have lapsed, the draft award shall be the final award.
