Replace Or Renew An Existing Passport

  1. Emergency Certificate
    Emergency Certificates are issued to non-citizens who urgently need travel documents to return to their home country
    Processing time is at least two weeks.                        
  2. Travel Identity Document
    Travel Identity Documents are issued to Solomon Islands Citizens abroad who have lost their passport or for infants born overseas needing travel documents.
    Processing time is at least two weeks.
  3. ePassport
    Solomon Islanders applying for an ePassport must appear in person before an Immigration Officer at the Passports Unit for processing. Applications must be made in person in the Solomon Islands.
  4. Diplomatic Passport
    Diplomatic Passports are issued to Solomon Islands Government Officials and require approval from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs before processing.
  5. Official Passport
    Official Passports are issued to government officials and require approval from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs before the application is processed.
  6. Ordinary Passport
    To apply for an Ordinary Passport, applicants must submit the necessary forms and documents, application fee, photo and fingerprint capture.
  1. Replace My Lost Passport
    To replace a lost Ordinary Passport, applicants must submit the required forms, report the loss to the police, pay the fee, and appear in person for assessment.
  2. Replace a Damaged Passport
    Applicants must complete all required forms, attach the damaged passport, and pay the prescribed fee before submitting the application for assessment.
  3. Renew my Passport
    Applicants must complete and submit all required forms, attach the expired passport, pay the prescribed fee, and lodge the application in person for assessment.
