Enforcement and Human Trafficking Unit

The Enforcement and Human Trafficking Unit prosecutes Solomon Islanders and foreign nationals who breach the country’s immigration laws.

This is done in consultation with the Office of the Director Public Prosecutions(DPP) and the Royal Solomon Islands Police. The Police investigates suspected cases of human trafficking and people smuggling  and has the legal authority to inspect foreign companies operating in the Solomon Islands. Furthermore, the unit carries out join border operations, surveillance and monitoring with its partners and is the Unit responsible for deporting foreign nationals who breach Solomon Islands’ immigration laws.
